Community Bowls played on Wednesday evening’s is proving very popular. Some of the new players are providing a good competition for the players who have been competing for many years and it’s great to see & hear players having fun on the green.
Social bowls is played on Saturdays and Tuesdays at 1.30(weather permitting).

A lovely afternoon tea provided by Bright bowlers was enjoyed by all. As this was the last game of the season for A3, the main topic of conversation was the ladder. Bright selectors have endured quite a few challenges to fill teams over the season due to player unavailability and injuries, therefore was pleased not to finish on the bottom of the ladder and avoiding relegation next season. Ernie Vanderwert the Club president organised a “curry night” after the game which members & partners enjoyed the cooking skills of both Ernie with Sri Lankin curries and Sam Kupferle’s Japanese curries.

B1 Midweek Pennant are due to play their 1st game for the year on Tuesday 21st of January at home against Benalla.
The Annual Community Bowls competition was due to start last Wednesday the 15th of January but unfortunately, due to the rain the night was cancelled. There is a BBQ tea provided this week to all players from 6 pm. followed by competition at 7 pm. Spectators welcome to come along

Beechworth Bowling Club welcomed Bright; the game was played in good spirits on a fine day then a lovely afternoon tea was supplied by the Beechworth members.

The Annual Community Bowls competition is due to start on Wednesday the 15th January 2025
at 7pm. If you are a regular player in this event, or have not played before but would like to try the game of bowls. Come along and have some fun. You can either enter a team of four or come along and help make up a team. Open to all ages.
The competition is run every Wednesday over an 8-week period.

the loan of 3 players to enable the day of bowls to go ahead. Swanpool welcomed Bright and the game was played in good spirits. A lovely afternoon tea was supplied by the Swanpool members, also a meat tray raffle which was won by Ernie from Bright.
